The Ladd Pad: We Love Swimming...and Red Robin too!

We are having such a fun summer! All the kids want to do is go to the pool!! When we can't make it to Nana's, we head to the back yard. We have a baby pool that will do on those days! But we did make it to Nana's pool last week and were joined by our friends Holly and Lucas!! We had such a great time. The kids were all a little unbrave (is that a word?) about the water when we first arrived. They slowly loosen up! Lucas (who is only 2) and Carson both started jumping in to Holly, she was having to really catch them and not let them go under! After awhile, Lucas got tired of having to wait on Carson. So while Holly was catching Carson, Lucas would just take off and jump in on his own. He would go under and pop up smiling and kicking his arms and legs! Lucas is a trip!!! Then Carson realized he could do that too! By the end of the day they were all jumping in by their selves, going all the way under, swimming to Holly (Carson and Lucas with their floatation devices on of course) and back to the stairs! Check out the video, it is funny! Caymin loosened up too! She started remembering how to swim over and under water!! Toward the end of the day she was even practicing her diving off the side of the pool! That is a big deal for her!!! Thanks Holly for letting me steal your pictures! My camera was dead!!

Another fun summer activity, well it's really year around for us, is going out to eat!! We met some friends Troy, Julie, Ellie and baby Max to eat the other night at Red Robbin! We really like their burgers, my kids will eat the whole thing!! They are a little pricey, but really good. It was close to Troy's birthday so we celebrated with singing and a sundae! Fun times were had by all!!

Lukey Dukey waiting on more boats to go by!! They have to put EVERY water toy they have in the pool even if they have no plans to play with it! The kids decided they wanted to get a suntan! Caymin was so concerned about Roscoe being hot and thirsty! Not a great picture of me, but but I like it because it is me and by babies and eveyone is looking at the camera and smiling! :) After we spent a few hours at the pool, this is how I found Carson during his nap!! He is the lump in the middle tucked completely under his blanket!
