Carson the door stop...

Chris went into check on Carson the other night and could not get the door to open much. After peeking around the door he realized that Carson was the door stop. For whatever reason he had gotten out of his bed and decided to fall asleep by the door.
Crazy kid!!

Pumpkin Carving...

We carved our pumpkin the other night. Caymin nor Carson wanted to touch the stuff inside the pumpkin. They both would try and put there hands down in there and act like they were going to help clean stuff out but when it came down too it they both were wimps!! Dad got a little creative this year and carved Bob the Bat into the pumpkin! It turned out cute and we like it!!
Caymin trying to pull something out!
You can tell just by looking at Carson's approach that there is no way he is getting anything!!
Finally pulled his sleeve up so he could really try, no luck!!
Caymin's face!! Hilarious!!
The finished product!!

The Pumpkin Patch

Sunday after chuch we headed to Walden Farms to the pumpkin patch. This is a great place and they have so much for the kids to see and do. We picked out pumpkins for carving, rode the hayride, went through the kid hay maze, saw the animals at the petting zoo and checked out all the things to play on. We were joined by Gommer and the Finley's. We had a great time. So glad we got to go because Caymin was suppose to go to Walden Farms on Thursday but had to miss it because she had strep. :(
Picture is kind of dark but we are all there!! Minus Lance and Poptart!

Harvest Festival at NES

Last weekend, Nolensville Elementary School had their annual Harvest Festival. Each class sets up a game in the gym for the kids to play as well as we have inflatables set up outside for jumping. We line the hallways with vendors for shopping and have a great silent auction in the cafeteria. Each class is responsible for putting together a class basket to donate to the auction. Since I am Caymin's class room mom, I was in charge of all of our class stuff, shew..that's a job!! But it worked out fine and everything went off without a hitch. Fun times were had by all!

Waiting patiently for their turn.
It took Carson about 10 mins. to get to that point. He finally got all the way up there!
This is a funny picture of Carson!

Ellie Belly
This a picture of Mrs. Martin's (another Kindergarten teacher) son in his Alabama jersey and Carson in his UT top. That was the day of the UT/Bama game! Funny!
Carson and Ellie trying to find the gum in the cool whip! No Hands!
Working on his baseball skills!
Mommy working her booth with Carson playing, Mrs. Calahan's Fall Bingo!! I think it was a hit. We were busy ALL day. It was cute and yes I made it! :) This was my kids favorite game. You picked a door and they either gave you candy or the shot you with silly string!

Glasses and Uggs....

Caymin had her eyes checked a few weeks ago and we found out she is Far Sighted (can't see well close up). Chris and I both have good eyes so we were shocked that she needed glasses. The Doctor told us that she only needs to wear the glasses when she reads or does work. She was SOOO excited to get them and has been really good about wearing them.

Look how cute she looks in them!
For those of you that know about Uggs check out our new steps!! Caymin has two pairs and LOVES them and asked to wear them with just about every outfit! If you have had a pair you know why, they are very warm and comfy! Don't fret, we did not pay full price for these or even close! But they look cute!!

Crieve Hall Parents Dinner

Well to add to my ever so busy life, I some how got asked to be in charge of all the room mothers at Carson Preschool. My main responsibilities are to keep all the room moms, about 7, up to date on what is going on as well as help plan about 3 big events that the preschool host. The first one was last week a dinner for all the preschool parents. Thanks to LOTS of help from my my co-helper Missy, my friend Julie, Missy father-in-law, Ms. Shelly and several room moms we pulled it off without a hitch! I thought it looked really nice, food was good and despite our guest speaker having a stroke a few days before (she is fine and is recovering well), our fill-in speaker did fabulous!! We had about 80 guest attend and gave away 8 really nice baskets! Fun times were had by all!

How we set up the room!
Each of the kids made (sort of) these pumpkin picture frames. We took pictures of the kids for the frames and the parents had a nice treat to take home for their refrigerator.
Carson Alan!
We had two boards set up like our "Pumpkin Patch" with all the pictures displayed.

Poptart's Circle of Beanies!

Back in there hay day, my mother-in-law and I collected Beanie Babies. She much more than I! We both still have tons of them pack away in our homes. We laugh a lot about why we thought those were going to be worth something and what do we do with them now! Well the other day Poptart called Lisa, my sister-in-law, and I to tell us he had a big surprise for everyone after lunch Sunday to bring our cameras! So we did. After he got it set up, he took the kids in the play room with their eyes closed and put them inside the circle of Beanies!! They opened their eyes and looked around trying to figure it out. Poptart told them that they were for them so they immediately started claiming the ones they wanted. After asking a few questions, we quickly realized the Poptart had bought these beanies at a thrift shop! They were not part of the 500 that Gommer has up stairs, he had BOUGHT MORE!! I think we hurt his feelings because Lisa and I both did not acted excited and asked the kids to leave them at Poptarts!!
To help the situation, I have since allowed Caymin to bring home a Kroger bag full, that she has of course already forgotten about, that I am taking to her teacher at school so they can go in the treasure box!! :) Win Win for everyone! Poptarts feelings aren't hurt, Caymin got to bring home a bag FULL of beanies, I don't have to add more to our collection and the treasure box gets a donation. :)
What??
I want this one.....

Boo in the Zoo!

Last weekend we met up with some friends and went to a Halloween Party they have at our local zoo. It is called Ghouls at Grassmere, but for some reason we call it "Boo in the Zoo". It is fun. The kids get dressed up and you trick-or-treat to about 20 different treat stations throughout the park. They have a haunted house where you get to touch yucky stuff like Alien guts (green macaroni). They also have inflatables, carnival games, animals and a dance area. Great way to start off our Halloween!
We had not gotten our kids Halloween Costumes yet, so they wore their last years costumes ~ Mickey and Minnie! Plus our friend Annie - aka Ellie Belly!
Saying "Trick or Treat" to the Gecko!
In the haunted house, Carson was not afraid to touch anything. Unlike his sister and Ellie. Here he is touching Alien Guts!
Caymin trick or treating!
We met up with our friends Bryson and Jayson - aka Spiderman and Superman

Rascal Flatts!!!!!

As most of you know, I am a BIG Rascal Flatts' fan! They come to town every year in October to do a concert to benefit Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. So of course, we are always there! This year we went with our friends Holly and David, as we do most years. David's mom works for The Sommet Center and got us the hook up on the tickets. (THANKS Ger Ger!!) Great seats at a great price. We met and ate at Demos's for dinner and headed on to the concert. Taylor Swift opened for them and I was excited to hear her but after the first couple of songs, we were ready for her to go. She sings GREAT, but her hair wiping and trying to act sexy really wore me out. She was just awkward. Chris kept calling her a goober!! I think she was just trying to hard to be someone she is not. But anyway, we had a BLAST and can't wait till next year! Chris, not so much! ;)
Our view from our seats!! Pretty good, ugh?!?!
Gary singing "Life is a High Way"! Carson Loves to sign that song!

Rock'n it out!

Learn something new everyday...... People don't hold up lighters during slow songs anymore - fire hazard I am sure....Do you know what they do hold up???? Their Cell Phones!!! Who would have ever thought! :) Looked pretty cool though!

The confetti/balloon drop for the finale!
The Ladd's
The Pring's!
Check out the video of them signing one of my favorite songs (I have about 20! :)) right in front of us!! Good Stuff!
