Funny Carson....

A few cute and funny things about Carson!!
This is just a funny picture of Carson. This was what he was doing one day while Wendy and I were setting up for the Women's Show. We had pretty much been down at the gym all day that day and Carson had just had enough. But he was a trooper that day!!
The other day as we were walking in to school, Carson saw Sophie (not our neighbor Sophie but a little girl in his class that has the same color hair as he does) walking in too. So he asked if he could walk in with her. I said sure. I walked on ahead and as I turned around these two were just holding hands and giggling as they walked to class. They were too funny!
One more funny story... Little background....Carson has a little boy in his class named John. As I hear from Carson, John gets in trouble just about every day. Now Carson has been talking a lot lately about my Grandmother Mimi being in heaven. As most of you know, every time we get a balloon, we let it go to Mimi in heaven. So Carson has really be asking about when he can go up to heaven to see Mimi's room full of balloons!! Anyway, on to the story.......On the way to school the other morning Carson asked "Mom, how do we get to heaven?" Feeling a little overwhelmed with how I was going to explain that to a 3 year old I just said.. "Well, you have to be baptised, believe in God, be a good boy and act like God would want you to act." Carson then replies sadly, "Aww Man! That means John is not going to get to go to heaven with me!!" I kind of snickered and said why? He said, "because he is not a good boy and does act like God would want him to act!!" I said "well, what do you think you can do to help him?" He said, "I think we need to start praying for John!!" :)
Too sweet!! And so we have! So for several nights following this Carson would say in his prayers, "Help John to be a good boy for Mrs. Sandra so he can go to heaven with me!!" I do have a sweet, sometimes wild, baby boy!

Caymin's Fall Party

Caymin had her "FALL" Party at school this week. We can't call it a Halloween Party or even have it too close to Oct. 31st!! Dumb, yes I know!! But I guess that goes along with being in a "public school"! Anyway, it was fun. Since I am the room mom I had to organize two games for our class to host. There are 5 kindergarten classes and each class would rotate to each room and play the game for 15 mins. Our two games were pin the face on the pumpkin and pumpkin bingo! The kids seem to really enjoy the games. At the end, we had lots of tasty treats for the kids to munch on. It was fun times had by all!
Mrs. Calahan letting the kids know how things were going to work.
Caymin and her buddy Bryson getting ready for the first activity!
My friend Holly got to come and help us out that day. I was nervous that I would not have enough parent volunteers to help with the games, so she offered her services!! She and I didn't plan it, but she wore the same shirt as Caymin and I!! Twinkies!!
Half of Caymin's class getting ready to play pin the face on the pumpkin!
Caymin and Chase playing Pumpkin Bingo!

Limbo time in Butner/Tant's classroom! Caymin LOVES to say ButnerTant, not sure why! :) Our friend Julie, Ellie's Mom, teaches part time next door to her Mom, Mrs Calahan - lots of connections! :), with another teacher Mrs. Butner. So they call their class ButnerTant!

Beanie Babies!

Last week at Gommer's, Poptart gave all the kids a beanie baby. My kids were so excited and came home and played with them for hours. I have a TUB FULL of beanie babies in the attic so I got them down for them to play with. They had a ball but I think they enjoyed hiding underneath them and jumping up and scaring me and daddy more! Needless to say, they have not played with them since!!

Where is Carson?
There he is!!
Can you see Caymin in there?
There she is!!

Lots of Random Stuff!!!!

To start, last Monday was Parent View week at Ballet. We normally don't get to watch except on TV monitors, but this week we did. :) She did great and I was very proud!

Then Friday night we needed to run some errands, so we stopped by Toot's for dinner. (a little restaurant in Smyrna near the Super Target - where we were going of course!!) They are known for their fried pickles so Chris got some. The kids tried to eat them but I think Caymin had a bite and Carson might have eaten one whole one and that was it! :) But they tired which is more that I can say for myself!

At Super Target, I found Chris teaching the kids about softball and baseball in the sporting good aisle! I guess Target is as good of a place as any! But they were having a ball and I had to get their pictures while in gear!

On Saturday, after soccer, we headed to a Page High Basketball Team party. Chris's basketball team has a get together every year before the season starts! :) The house we went to was unbelievable, I wish I would have taken more pictures! They just built it and have only live there for about a month. So needless to say, there were a lot of dirt piles around! Carson found a few to play in, of course. If you can tell in the picture below, that is not chocolate on his face!! It is dirt!!!!!!! But he and Caymin both had a ball playing outside as well as inside in their bonus room that is the size of my house!!

Apple Day!

Caymin had Apple Day in her classroom. I volunteered to come and help with all the Apple activities. Because I was helping I didn't get to take too many pictures. But as we were waiting to go to lunch, Mrs. Calahan was playing some of their songs they like to listen too. One of them was "A Tooty Tot, A Tooty Tot, A Tooty Tot Tot!" Not sure if you have heard of it before but it is cute and silly. The kids have to stand up and sing the song while doing silly things! As you can see below. That is Caymin and Jacob singing with their "elbows back, thumbs up, eyes closed, tongues out and turning around!!" It was cute. Then I got to eat lunch with her! This was the first day she got to buy her lunch and she was SOOO excited.

Cousin Ryan and Uncle Mike

This weekend Uncle Mike and Cousin Ryan came to town for the Titans game. On Saturday, Caymin had a soccer game so they came to watch!! She scored 5 goals by the way (per her count)!! The kids were excited to get to see them. Ryan even came home with us afterwards and stayed the night! He was our first official guest to stay in our guest bedroom!! woo hoo!! The kids had so much fun while he was here. We hope he comes back to visit soon and brings his sister! :)

My cute and crazy kids!

Just wanted to share these two pictures with you.
First, I have been working with Carson on learning how to dress himself. It is making lift much easier in the mornings for me! But one of the first days he came down stairs and said "Look Mommy, I did it!! I got dressed all by myself!!!" Here is what I saw when I turned around!!! :) My backwards child!
One soccer game, coach Gaddis was bringing our jersey's to the game. So we had to wear a different shirt and change at the field. When we got there, we noticed Caymin and Charley had worn the same shirt and they looked too cute. Thanks to Maymie, she made these and gave them to us at her last birthday party!

Nolensville Elementary Hoe Down!

Last Friday night, Caymin's school had a Hoe Down. They had a DJ, a few games and dinner set up for all the kids and their families. Caymin and Carson had a ball. Caymin found her friend Addison who is in her class and they ran around together all night. Carson tried to keep up with them, but gave up after awhile and started running around with his buddy Jayson. They had a ball as you can see from the pictures and video below!!

They stopped to pose while dancing to Hannah Montanna!
They held hands all night, even while doing the limbo!

Sophie and her boyfriend Wesley! They held hands and walked around together ALL NIGHT!! Too funny! They even colored a picture together and wrote Wesley hearts Sophie on the back!
Sophie showed that picture to EVERYONE in the gym. She was like a little model while ridding on Jay's shoulders showing it from side to side to EVERYONE she passed. Then she got down and walked up to EVERYONE in the gym, mostly people she didn't know, to show them what she and Wesley did!! She was funny!
Jake and Tyler rocking the air guitar!!
Jake and Tyler doing the chicken dance!! Go Guys!!

Bryson was breaking it down!! :)

Nafan's Birthday!!!

It was our friend Nathan's Birthday the other day and we went to dinner with him and his girlfriend Cara. Caymin and Carson were so upset that we were going to a "birthday party" for Nafan (as Carson calls him) and they weren't invited. So we decided we would have them over to our house for a "birthday party" where the kids could participate! So we had dinner and Caymin wanted to put a candle in the brownie and sing, so we did!! Chris had been buttering the kids up for a few days telling them about how Nate and Cara LOVED to play twister!! So the kids could not wait until after dinner so they could play twister with them!!! Ha :) It was pretty funny!
Daddy and Son! :)

Cara and I

Happy Birthday to you!

A little twister action!! They actually played with the kids!! What good sports!!
