Carson's turn to sing in the Crieve Hall Christmas Program

For the last 3 years, Caymin has sang in the Crieve Hall Preschool Christmas Program. Carson has always been there in the audience watching. This year he got to get on stage and sing like Caymin. He did great. He got a little restless about half way through the singing but he still sang while wiggling around. :) We think he definitely has a little bit of "showman" in him just like his dad!

Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow

Yesterday the weatherman said it was not cold enough for us to get any snow. Maybe a dusting on the grass at best. Within a few hours we had almost 3 inches snow!!! We were headed to Gommer's house for mine and Caymin's birthday dinner. I got to the end of my subdivision and decided I needed to wait for Chris to get home and drive us to Gommer's. I was sliding all over the place. While waiting for Chris, the kids and I went out and took a few pictures of how beautiful the falling snow was! By the time Chris got home, we piled in the car and tried to head up our street. NO LUCK. We finally backed into our neighbors driveway to get a better running start. Would have worked except there was so much snow we ran off the driveway and into their yard. Now we were stuck. Chris tried, with no luck, to push the car and use one of our women's show signs to put under the wheel to help us get out. Finally he got the shovel and cleared away enough area for us to get out of the yard. This did not happen without getting Chris completely covered in mud, make him wipe out twice and the worst of all leave a big tire spinning ditch in my neighbors front yard. But we got out, got a running start and made it safe and sound to Gommer's. We ate dinner, an hour and a half late and the kids played in the snow for a long time. When we got up the next morning the snow was still beautiful. So we got out in it and played some more. The kids just could not get enough and were so disappointed that it was melting away. We hope we get more again soon.

Just so pretty!
We had 2 inches about an hour before it stopped. We made it to Gommer's to play in the snow at her house!
I was only out long enough to take this picture and a few more. Love to look at the snow, but don't love being cold! :) Aren't my kids dressed cute too? :)
The next morning, time to sled down Jake and Sophie's hill next door.
Here comes Caymin, head first.
Carson not to be out done. They decided to go together. Caught them as they whizzed by!
She had a blast!!
Just a picture of my foot print in the yard to show how deep it really was.

Caymin's 6th Birthday Party

Caymin wanted to have an "Art" Birthday Party this year. At the Women's Show in the fall, she loved painting tiles and thought that would be fun again. Thanks to the help of Ms. Cara, my friend who is also an art teacher and helped with all the painting stuff, Mrs. Wendy, my organizer and party helper, my Mom, the food coordinator and kitchen host, Aunt Lisa with her fuse beads and iron magic and last Holly for picking up two more table clothes at Hobby Lobby so that my plates and table clothes would match (for those that know me, everything had to match!!) it was a success!! I think all the kids had a good time. When the kids arrived, we had three different stations; Painting tiles and Christmas Ornaments, Decorating Popsicle stick picture frames and mugs, and last Fuse Beads. They all got to take home the tiles they made to hang on their door, a Christmas ornament and a Popsicle picture frame for their tree, a cup that they decorated and a few finished the fuse bead station to take home a beaded shape that we fused together for them! After the art projects we gave them all cookies, 3 different color icings, m and m's, chocolate chips, marshmallows and sprinkles and they decorated their sweet treats. Caymin doesn't really like cake, so she opted for cookies and ice cream instead. I think they all enjoyed it and were definitely on a sugar high afterwards. Next we opened presents and boy did she get too much! I didn't think the present were going to ever end. She has such kind and generous friends! :) At the end of the party someone said, let's go outside. So they all took off. It was only about 37 degrees out there but they all put their coats on and had a ball. It was fun times had by all!! Thanks to everyone who came!!
We had the party in our garage. That was the only place I could have 15-20 kids with paint, glitter glue and 10,000 tiny beads.
Caymin and Lauren painting their tiles.
Cute Addison and her painted ornament
Bryson was working on his tile
Mrs. Holly was watching Lucas decorate his frame.

Carson got in on the decorating a little. He just wanted to eat it!
Present time. Her little girl figurine from Gommer. #6! SO sweet. I remember when my Aunt Linda use to give these to me when I was Caymin's age. Matter of fact, I still have them! :)
Pixo's!! She has really loved these!!
Caymin and her Juice Couture rain boots. She loved them because she wanted rain boots. She has no idea about Juice Couture but her mom does! :)

Santa Claus again!

For Caymin's actual birthday, i asked her what she wanted to do. Nana had mentioned that Santa was coming to the club house of the Golf Course they are members of. They were having an open house the night of Caymin's birthday. That is what she talked wanting to do was go see Santa for her Birthday, so that is what we did. They both just hopped up in his lap like they knew him and started telling him what they wanted for Christmas. He was not a very real looking Santa but he was a great acting Santa. He talked to them and asked them questions for about 5 minutes. They loved it. Afterwards we ate dinner there with Nana and Poppa and the kids got to pretend they were driving the golf cart. They thought that was as cool as anything! Fun time were had by all!

Just a cute picture I took this morning before church. Too bad it is a little blurry or might have used it on my Christmas Card! :)

The Big Christmas Tree and Our First Snow

This week we went with Nana to the Opryland Hotel for a breakfast she was attending. We got to be her guest since Poppa had a conflict. On the way to the breakfast we had seen the huge Christmas tree and we kept telling him if he was good we would go and see it afterwards. Carson was so good during the breakfast and during the 10 minute speech we had to listen to so we headed to see it afterwards. It was so big. Carson was just amazed. I promise he is in the picture below. He looks so tiny!
We had our first snow this week. Of course we missed the good stuff, as aways. It somehow always barley misses us. Just enough to get our hopes up only to be let down in the end. Look really close and you can see the flurries out the window. The kids loved watching it!

Happy Birthday Caymin Alexis Ladd!!! :)

WOW, it has been six years since Caymin was born. I just can't believe it. I remember being in the hospital on this day and being so excited about having a precious baby girl. I had no idea the fun and joy that this precious little person was going to bring to Chris and I. She has grown into such a beautiful little girl with such a caring heart. I just can't wait to continue to watch her grow into the beautiful young lady that I know she is gong to be.
I love you baby girl!!
Happy 6th Birthday!!!
