Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow

Yesterday the weatherman said it was not cold enough for us to get any snow. Maybe a dusting on the grass at best. Within a few hours we had almost 3 inches snow!!! We were headed to Gommer's house for mine and Caymin's birthday dinner. I got to the end of my subdivision and decided I needed to wait for Chris to get home and drive us to Gommer's. I was sliding all over the place. While waiting for Chris, the kids and I went out and took a few pictures of how beautiful the falling snow was! By the time Chris got home, we piled in the car and tried to head up our street. NO LUCK. We finally backed into our neighbors driveway to get a better running start. Would have worked except there was so much snow we ran off the driveway and into their yard. Now we were stuck. Chris tried, with no luck, to push the car and use one of our women's show signs to put under the wheel to help us get out. Finally he got the shovel and cleared away enough area for us to get out of the yard. This did not happen without getting Chris completely covered in mud, make him wipe out twice and the worst of all leave a big tire spinning ditch in my neighbors front yard. But we got out, got a running start and made it safe and sound to Gommer's. We ate dinner, an hour and a half late and the kids played in the snow for a long time. When we got up the next morning the snow was still beautiful. So we got out in it and played some more. The kids just could not get enough and were so disappointed that it was melting away. We hope we get more again soon.

Just so pretty!
We had 2 inches about an hour before it stopped. We made it to Gommer's to play in the snow at her house!
I was only out long enough to take this picture and a few more. Love to look at the snow, but don't love being cold! :) Aren't my kids dressed cute too? :)
The next morning, time to sled down Jake and Sophie's hill next door.
Here comes Caymin, head first.
Carson not to be out done. They decided to go together. Caught them as they whizzed by!
She had a blast!!
Just a picture of my foot print in the yard to show how deep it really was.
